Black History Month is a time to honor and celebrate the contributions and experiences of Black individuals. It reminds us of the resilience and creativity that have shaped communities and culture, often when those stories have been overlooked.
Recognizing Black narratives enriches our shared history and highlights rich cultural heritage, innovative achievements, and the widespread influence Black people have across society. Centering Black joy, history, and everyday experiences help create a more inclusive and vibrant community. Black joy embodies strength and beauty, even in adversity, and celebrating Black history can inspire future generations to dream boldly.
In this spirit, we choose to listen, learn, and act in ways that support Black communities. This month, and every month, let us work toward a world where Black lives are valued, stories are heard, and joy is abundant.
