UCSF celebrates Arab American Heritage Month this April. We are delighted to honor the rich cultural heritage and significant contributions of the Arab American community.
Throughout history, Arab Americans have enriched our university’s and nation's fabric with their language, traditions, and cultural expressions. The Arabic language serves as a unifying thread, linking diverse geographies and cultures of 3.7 million Arab Americans, whose ancestries stretch from Morocco in the west to Iraq in the east, and Yemen and Sudan in the south.
In our recognition of national AAHM this month, we aim to create an inclusive and equitable environment, because we believe that everyone at UCSF deserves equal opportunities, respect, and recognition. We encourage you to join us in learning more about the valuable contributions and vibrant culture of the Arab American community.
