Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2024

Date:
January 15, 2024
Time:
All day long
Place:
Virtual & In-person

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (center) leads civil rights protestors in Selma, Alabama in 1965 with (left to right) Ralph Abernathy, James Forman, Rev. Jesse Douglas, and John Lewis.

"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly."

We encourage all members of UCSF to self-reflect on the legacy of liberation and social justice that Martin Luther King Jr. and activists leading the civil rights movement were committed to in the face of oppression. Please consider engaging in local community events below in their honor.
