The Latinx Heritage Month Planning Committee recommends these books made available to UCSF members by the UCSF Library in partnership with the Multicultural Resource Center.


Hispanic Heritage Month Special Menus @ UCSF Cafes
• September & October, select days, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Menus feature cuisines of Mexico, Honduras, Colombia, El Salvador, Venezuela, Honduras, Cuba, and Peru.

Día de los Muertos Sugar Skull Decorating
• Monday, October 28th, 12pm to 1pm & 4:pm to 5pm
Alfeñiques (decorated sugar skulls) are used to adorn elaborate altars that invite our loved ones to return and help to light their way home.


Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Altar Viewing Reception
• Wednesday, November 1st, 12:30pm to 1:30pm
Join us to learn about the holiday and to view Dia de los Muertos altars created by UCSF Registered Campus Organizations. Mexican hot chocolate and pastries will be served!
