We encourage all members of UCSF to self reflect on the legacy and contributions of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other activists leading the civil rights movement. Dr. King and his allies’ unwavering commitment to social justice, equity, and civil rights remind us of the power of courageous activism in the face of oppression. As we reflect on Dr. King’s life’s work, we are called to examine our own roles in perpetuating or dismantling systemic injustices, urging us to embrace his vision of a beloved community through empathy, action, and a relentless pursuit of equity for all.
Please consider engaging in both UCSF and local community events below in their honor.
