UCSF Healthcare Advocates for Social Justice invite you to join us on for a discussion featuring facilitator and community activist, Porsche Veu.
Porsche, also known as The Poet Activist, is an Oakland native, artist, speaker, and author of the book 2 Kinds of Fire. She has spoken, performed, and taught in a variety of spaces including the NAACP, Ted Talk, Apple, Google, and UCSF. Through her work, Porsche aims to bridge the gap between faith and social justice, as well as create atmospheres for uncomfortable yet important conversations on racism, sexism, and mental health.

This event was planned by a diverse group of UCSF staff who organized in response to the ongoing racial injustices. The goal of the UCSF Healthcare Advocates for Social Justice monthly speaker series is to promote critical thinking and action around intersectional structures of power, privilege, and racial oppression in clinical care, education, and beyond. We will continue to highlight the efforts of community antiracism activists.
